An amazing venue, The pearl is. Built to Spill themselves went longer than they were supposed to and did some really great stuff besides their hits, which I appreciated! The only drawback there was people down on the floor hooting and hollering that tended to blot out what he was trying to do. Also, it was billed with OAR as an opening act and Natasha Bedingfield. They were no shows. Built to Spill's lead singer sang a song off mike and his band came out and accompanied him for the bridges. Yes, I realize it's a concert and people are having a good time. The only other sound was the piano and it carried clearly to the balcony. To be fair, they weren't bad and sounded pretty good. We got some band called O Wild. So, overall it was a pretty good concert and Built to Spill measures up to a good show! They are a lively group that involves their fans in the show. Built to Spill themselves were great. I have been going to concerts since I was ten, (Gene Pitney, Faces and The Trogs.), and have seen a lot of bands.
